Hymen reconstruction surgery, also known as hymen surgery, hymenoplasty surgery or hymen restoration, is the surgical repair of the hymen. Hymen gets ruptured by having sexual intercourse or participating in impact sports. In some cultures including the Indian culture some of the people still expect the bride to be a virgin at the time of the marriage. Two types of hymen repair surgeries are done - A purely cosmetic procedure in which a membrane without blood supply is created.
